The Gay Marriage Debate
Today sees the enthronement of the Most Reverent Justin Welby as Archbishop of Canterbury. Coming from the Holy Trinity Brompton, Kensington before becoming a lay leader, the church has had a powerful impact on him. He shares its wish to reinvent Christianity to fit in with modern life and today's society, by creating a friendly and informal atmosphere. However HTB avoided becoming involved in the Anglican sex argument. Now holding the post of Archbishop of Canterbury it is within Justin Welby's duty to face the issue head on, which he seems very willing to do judging by his email response to Peter Tatchell, a prominent gay-rights campaigner.

Horsemeat Scandal
On the 15th of February 2013 the Food Standard Agency (FSA) examined meats from all of the UK retail stores. They found out that meat in Tesco stores had traces of horse meat in it. The labels on the packaging said it was beef, but the meat was completely different within it.

The FA: Fair or Unfair?

Last Sunday, on a day when Wigan faced Newcastle, it was a battle of survival; Wigan took the lead and Newcastle were placing their maximum effort into to the game in order to level the score. Then there was a turning point in the game - Callum McManaman made a career ending challenge on the French under-21 player Massadio Haidara. After the game, Newcastle United went to the FA and tried to get a ban for Callum Mcmanaman, but the FA said "because the referee did not see, we cannot give the Wigan player a ban."
