Best Results Ever

The Towers School has achieved its best GCSE results ever this year.

The results were amongst the best in the County and in terms of value added gain, place the school in the top 25% of schools nationally. These results have been achieved without any element of selection. The headlines are as follows:

  • A2 - 94% pass rate
  • GCSE - 5A*-C - 55%
  • GCSE - 5A*-C (Including Maths/English - 29%)
  • GCSE - 5A*-G - 91%

End of Key Stage 3

  • Level 5+ - English 60%, Science 64%, Maths 64%, ICT 62%
  • Level 6 - English 15%, Science 30%, Maths 40%, ICT 33%
  • Level 7 - English 1%, Science 4%, Maths 9%
These results are the best the school has ever achieved and the fifth year of continuous improvement.

Malcolm Ramsey, Headteacher, said 'he was delighted by this further improvement and this was a direct results of intensive monitoring of student progress during the past 2 years and a totally dedicated and high quality staff. Parents, students and staff have every reason to be proud'.

These results are significantly better than other schools in the area.

Also 42 students went directly to University from The Towers School this year.
