Exam Information

Examinations are a fundamental part of the student’s school life, and as such, protocols will always be followed. There are strict rules that pupils need to adhere to when sitting examinations, please see the link below:

JCQ Regulations - Instructions for Candidates

For every student, regardless of level or examination type, Towers will provide a pencil case with all the relevant equipment that the student may need. We do have spare calculators, however we would always recommend students bringing their own.

You can contact our exams officer on a.campbell@towers.school

Exam Contingency Day Summer 2026

The awarding bodies have collectively agreed a contingency day for several years now which is always scheduled at the end of the GCSE, GCE AS and A-level exam timetables.

The contingency days are in the event of national or significant local disruption to exams in the United Kingdom, being part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for exams.

For the June 2026 exams, the awarding bodies have therefore introduced an additional contingency session:

Wednesday 24th June 2026 (For year 11 and year 13 students)

Candidates and parents should consider the contingency day when making plans for the summer, therefore assuming TBC as the final date for exams and should remain available until then.
