Proline FA deliver the School Football Programme at Towers School and Sixth Form Centre.

ProLine Football Academy are delighted to announce that we will be delivering the School Football Programme at Towers School and Sixth Form Centre for the coming academic year.

ProLine Football Academy is managed by Barry Jeffreys, Regional Coordinator for Arsenal FC Youth Academy in South London & Kent, whose objective is to identify talented and gifted players between the ages of 5 and 16 years.

Our philosophy is to enhance the development of football players across the four corners, whilst encouraging free flowing attacking football.

The programme we deliver at the school will follow this philosophy of free flowing creative football.

The overall objective being to deliver a high quality programme that will develop and enhance the players technical ability and tactical awareness; whilst providing potential exit routes to elite level football clubs, to find the correct environment for individual players.

  • Physical Abilities
  • Psychological & Social Characteristics

Curriculum Overview

The overall programme will include academic study of BTEC Sport through the Academy system of education with PLFA supporting with technical delivery.

In addition to the study of BTEC Sport, students will have opportunity to gain different qualifications in football including FA Emergency Aid, Safeguarding Children and Level 1 Coaching Certificate

On completion of the programme students will have the opportunity to progress to university, proceed directly to employment or potentially enrol to the club's Gap Year Programme.

International Tours

We can organise tours on the continent against teams of the appropriate level to participate in international tournaments, which are organised by affiliated clubs to their national Football Federations.

Countries include France, Italy & Spain.

We can provide a range of tours in terms of budget and playing level, to suit the needs of our players participating in the school football programme.

Coaching Opportunities (optional)

In association with the Kent FA, we can organise Level 1 coaching qualification courses for students interested in developing their football knowledge or wishing to explore a career in football coaching.

We can monitor student’s progress and assist them through the process of gaining their qualification.

We can potentially provide coaching opportunities at various levels (including professional Academy level), for students who demonstrate a high level of skill set and attitude towards progressing within the football coaching industry.

Gap Year Programme (optional)

We can provide student recommendation for the club's Gap Year Programme.

The programme is split into three stages:

Stage 1  is based in London and provides training and development opportunities for our ‘Gappers’ including coaching qualifications, First Aid, Safeguarding and TEFL courses. ‘Gappers’ are then placed within PE departments in local schools, as well as local football projects to provide a broad experience of coaching within the community.

Stage 2 gives our ‘Gappers' opportunities to coach within a wide range of community programmes and Soccer Schools either at home or abroad with one of our international partners.

Stage 3 provides the chance for a second placement, either overseas or in the UK, to ensure that our ‘Gappers’ have the opportunity to fully develop their skills and reach their full potential during their time with the club.

Whether you are considering a gap year before or after higher education, or even a career break, you are welcome to apply for the Arsenal Gap Year. Applicants simply need to be over 18 years of age (17 if you are from Scotland or the Republic of Ireland).
