6th Form Healthcare students trip to The Academic Centre at Maidstone Hospital

The Maidstone Hospital trip was very interesting, the best part of the trip was the interactive activities where we got to visit the Laparoscopic Suite and the Simulation Suite. We were given the opportunity to learn how to take someone's blood, give injections and discover the process of laparoscopy.

Throughout the day we attended a number of sessions which meant that we had the opportunity to gain information about various jobs within the health and social care sector. We had the chance to speak to people with different job roles to help us consider the pathways we could potentially go down in the future. Everyone was really welcoming and was willing to answer any questions that we had, we all had a great day!
