A Level Results Day

The Towers Sixth Form have achieved their highest A Level grades this year, topping last year’s great success with 100% of students achieving  A* - E grades.  Each subject area saw great success, with a record number of A grades achieved. BTEC results also increased from last year, as well high achievements in their first cohort of students taking the International Baccalaureate Career Programme (IBCP). 

Mr Billings was thrilled for both students and parents, as well as praising his staff for their continued dedication to the students’ studies; “The students deserve the high grades they have achieved. Their relentless commitment to their studies has resulted in them achieving what they need, and more. We wish our students the best of luck for their next endeavours and look forward to hearing of their future achievements.”

The great results have ensured that every student has been successful in their application to gain a place at University, from Loughborough to Bournemouth, as well as students going on to Higher Level Apprenticeships and full time employment. Successes were seen across the board in A Level, BTEC and IBCP subjects with Alexandra Thurston achieving: A - English Literature, A - Sociology, B - Psychology. Maisie Hankin: A - Religious Studies, B - Psychology and Merit - Art. Emma Ripley: A - English Literature, B - Psychology and Distinction - Art. Jaz East:Distinction* Distinction* - Performing Arts, B - Reflective Project, 6 - Higher Level Psychology Diploma, 5 - Higher Level English Language and Literature Diploma, B - A Level Sociology. Matthew Oulton: Distinction, Distinction - Business, Distinction* Distinction* - Public Services.
