Hospitality students visit Temper Temper Chocolate!
Sixth Form Hospitality students visited Temper Temper Chocolate in Tunbridge Wells to take part in a chocolate workshop.
Temper Temper works in educating people in the delights of working with real chocolate! The company caters for children's parties, educational events and party nights as well as holding private events for hotels.
Students arrived and were given a talk on chocolate and were asked questions to find out what they already knew. They were then given a task to complete to research what the term ‘To temper chocolate’ meant.
Each student had the chance to make a chocolate figurine and were given the choice of cats, pigs, soldiers, frogs, butterflies, ducks, trains, dinosaurs etc. They then made chocolate florentines and decorated them using different chocolates. Students tempered their own chocolate to make chocolate bark and finished it with a choice of different toppings, either chilli, mint ,meringue, biscuit, KitKat to name but a few.
At the end of the day, students were able to sample different types of chocolate!
Overall a fantastic experience for all of the students, we cannot wait to return!
