Towers School and Sixth Form Centre

Statement from the Principal

As a school community, Towers School today were shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of one of their Year 11 students. Today has been a day spent together as we supported students and staff to come to terms with the news. In this moment of grief, out of respect for the wishes of the family, we have kept information private as far as possible and only this afternoon have been given their blessing to make a statement.

A bright, high achieving student, Owen had already successfully gained GCSEs in core subjects and was looking forward to a promising Year 11 and a bright future. A keen sportsman, he will be sadly missed by team mates, friends and the wider school community.

A book of condolence has been placed in our welfare centre for members of the school community to record their thoughts and memories as a keepsake for Owen’s family.
