Year 11 Securing Success Evening
We would like to invite you and your child to attend our Year 11 Securing Success Evening on Thursday 13th February. We have been very impressed by the mature attitude that our Year 11's have shown towards their pre-public exams and we’d like to share with you some key information regarding results and final preparations for the real exams.
PPE results will be released at the Year 11 Securing Success Evening on Thursday 13th February. In addition, you will have the chance to talk to individual teachers about how to improve on these ready for the GCSEs in May.
The evening will be divided into two sessions and you will be able to book into a single one of these.
- Session 1: 4.00 - 5.00pm - teacher consultations; 5.00 - 5.30pm Securing success talk in the Main Hall
- Session 2: 5.00 - 5.30pm Securing success talk in the Main Hall; 6.00 - 6.30pm - teacher consultations
In order to book your session, you will have received an email on Wednesday 5th February at 4pm with a link and the booking system will be accessible until Monday 10th February pm. There will be sufficient availability across the two sessions to accommodate all parents. However, there will be a cap on each session in order to ensure that parents have a good opportunity to speak to as many members of staff as possible. The system will operate on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and to avoid disappointment, we would advise you to book your session as early as possible. Should you wish for an update on your son/daughter’s progress from a teacher who you do not manage to see on the evening, you will be supplied with their contact details in order that you can contact him/her directly.
On the evening, you will also have the opportunity (outside your teacher contact session) to speak with the Welfare team including Year 11 Head of Year, Welfare Manager, Assistant Principal in charge of KS4 and the SEN team. In addition, we will have stands with information available on: Revision; Sixth form; Careers.
On the evening, only parents who have booked into each individual teacher consultation session will be accomodated. In order to be as efficient as we can be, the teacher consultation session will begin and end promptly so we advise arriving a little before your allocated session in order to get signed in and make the most of the time available. We will be serving tea and coffee in the Dining Hall on your arrival. We have factored in only one 5 minute meeting, per student per subject. If there is a need for a longer discussion, an arrangement for a meeting should be made on another occasion.
If you do not have access to the internet, please contact Reception by email firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone 01233 634171 ext. 200 where a member of staff will be happy to help you during school office hours.
With thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing you.
